acoustic guitar truss rod cover?
Q. This is probably the dumbest question ever, but i've wanted to give my guitar more spunk/flare whatever. although i wish my acoustic guitar has a truss rod it does not. I was wondering if i could get a custom truss rod cover with my name on it in abalone and have it put on the headstock anyways. is this possible? or will this ruin my guitar? thanks!

A. Look - each to his or her own but if you want to really give your guitar flair, learn to play it better. It won't ruin your guitar but I don't see how pimping it up improves anything especially if it means drilling holes and screwing something fake to the headstock. It will certainly lower your guitar's resale value. Your choice - good luck.

Q. I'm 17 years old and a junior in high school now, and I'm dreading the "talk" with my parents about college and what I want to do after I graduate high school. They already know what my passion is--cars. I know it's kind of rare for a girl, but ever since I was little I was always fascinated by cars and engines, it was always like a miracle to me, I love the sleekness, shape, everything xD Also, I'm a very creative kind of person, I'm always doodling ideas to make cars look more beautiful. So, what I really want to do is, become a custom auto technician and customize cars. I think it's perfect for me, because it lets me be creative AND work with cars, which I love. A. Well, first of all, go and contact the school you want to do the study at and get all the information about the auto tech course ,about what you need, what you have to do, the price etc. Find info on the industry and job availablitiy, is rare, medium ofr high employment opportunity. This way it shows them that you are serious about it, and that you have done your research. I would probably talk to them before you see the guidiance counselor if you can, this way they won't feel that your've been doing this behind there backs. So just tell them, that this is what i want, this is what i'll be good at. Good luck with it
