GermanNounAutomobile n.
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. An automobile, motor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods. However, the term automobile is far from precise, because there are many types of vehicles that do similar tasks. There are approximately 600 million passenger cars worldwide (roughly one car per eleven people). Around the world, there were about 806 million cars and light trucks on the road in 2007; they burn over 260 billion gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel yearly. The numbers are increasing rapidly, especially in China and India. From Wikipedia under the

From Google News Search: "Automobile" When an automobile engine overheats and the radiator water begins to boil, the car can still be driven some? Q. When an automobile engine overheats and the radiator water begins to boil, the car can still be driven some distance before catastrophic engine damage occurs. Why? What determines the onset of really disastrous overheating? This is a physics problem I am trying to figure out. Asked by Ashley - Wed May 27 13:38:16 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. When a car engine overheats, the liquid coolant turns into a vapor (steam), which still cools a little bit, but not as well as liquid coolant. As long as the engine isn't run at high RPM's or for long distances, it is possible for it to go for quite a while before catastrophic engine failure. Engines are weird though - because you can take two of them off the assembly line right next to each other, and one will run forever on little to no maintenance, while the other will fail every time you look at it wrong, irregardless of how well it is maintained. Basically - if your car is overheating, you are doing a little bit of damage to it every time you drive it. It is best to determine the problem, and fix it. What marks do you need in high school to get into a good university for automobile engineering? What subjects do you need these marks in? What happens between the transmission and engine when a car is in idle? Is the clutch disengaged? Asked by 1999 Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec - Mon May 21 20:21:05 2007 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments A. You need to like and do well in science and math. When you say automobile engineering, I assume you mean mechanical engineering. So you will need to do well in high school algebra, geometry, trig, and any calculus courses they offer. Plus you have to have the motivation to do assignments on time and commit yourself to learning. I believe your question re the transmission is related to a manual transmission. The clutch is disengaged when the shift lever is in the neutral position; it has nothing to do with idle. Q. if i crashed the car offered by the automobile school during the driving lesson, who is responsible? during the lesson, the driving was next to me. i meant driving teacher was next to me. Asked by Peter A - Sat Aug 2 09:59:32 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. I don't know what you mean by the driving was next to me. I assume you mean the instructor was sitting next to you. Either way it should be included in the papers your parents signed to allow you to go to driving school, what should happen in such case. Most if not all driving schools are required to have excellent Car insurance by law. Some pay for the accident themselves and other just require you (or the parents most likely) to pay the deductible, which is always around $500. It may be less or it may be more but never more than $1,000. The most common deductible is $500.
