A. There should be a tag on the frame, it will say Cub Cadet and have the number stamped or printed on it. There is probably a tag on the deck too, but that will be for the deck, not he tractor. Open the hood and look on both sides of he motor, or even under the seat.

A. If your talking about the rear end that your tire and rims attach to it's gear lube and can buy it locally at any auto, hardware, wal mart stores. You don't have to buy there specific oil its just a way to make them more money, its the same as Ford or Chevy saying you have to buy there type of motor oil. Add; it would not be hydraulic fluid, and where in the rear are you wanting to add the fluid if not the rear end? This would help to know. Add; See if this helps you click on this site and scroll down to services and support then click on manuals. Riding TractorCub Cadet Tractors, Lawn Mowers, zero turn mower and Lawn Equipment. ... A. if I am correct u don't have any for the deck spindles and may b one on the deck belt idler pulley arm. most manufactures do not put grease Zerk's on decks anymore cuz they r using double sealed bearings and in theory no dirt should get in or out. (yeah right). yr lucky to have them on yr caster wheels most comp don't even put them there anymore either.

Q. Why won't my cub cadet 1042 riding lawn mower start?
Asked by Natalie R - Sun Sep 16 16:59:03 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Consider that an internal combustion engine needs the following: spark, fuel, and air. Check the obvious first, make sure that you have spark...or just replace the spark plug. Clean the air filter (or replace it), make sure you have fresh gas in the tank. If it still fails to start, is it turning over?? If not, have the battery checked. If it turns over, but won't start, possibly the starter solenoid is bad. There are 101 little things that could be your problem (bad wiring, wire disconnected, etc. etc.). Approach the problem via process of elimination.

what is wrong when the cub cadet tractor stalls when the brake is taken off?
Q. This tractor is used with a snow blower and was working fine but now shuts itself off when brake taken off or PTO engaged.
Asked by nese - Sat Feb 27 13:40:22 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It sounds like there is something blocking the blower, try cleaning it and make sure it's free by turning it by hand. It could also be a seized bearing.

I have a Cub Cadet 1050 riding mower. It cuts fine for a period of time, then sputters and dies.?
Q. The mower has a new air filter, gas filter, and the cap air vent is fine. Dealer says it is the gas (Virginia) and to try some premium. I did and it runs fine. But all gas must be new or problem reappears (with week old gas). Does anyone have a solution for this?
Asked by Joseph C - Fri Oct 12 08:49:56 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would suspect the ignition module. As it gets hot it is breaking down and giving a weaker and weaker spark until it dies. Could be with new higher grade gas it will continue to run. I don't think that the gas is going to be the permanent fix.
