The Ford Mustang is an automobile manufactured car by Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on the second generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Introduced early on April 17, 1964, the 1965 Mustang was the automaker's most successful launch since the Model A. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobile — sports car-like coupes with long hoods and short rear decks — and gave rise to competitors such as GM's Chevrolet Camaro, AMC's Javelin, and Chrysler's revamped Plymouth Barracuda. It really doesn't matter how much it cost to fill up. For example you could have a car that has a 100 gallon fuel tank and gets 60 miles per gallon, and have a car that had a 10 gallon fuel tank and but got 6 miles per gallon. The car with the 10 gallon tank would be cheap to fill up, but it would burn through the tank quickly whilst the car with the 100 gallon tank would cost much more to fill up, but you wouldn't have to fill it up very often. Q. I have a 2000 Ford Mustang and i have a rod knocking and piston slap and i need to rebuild the engine. I am well versed in older pre-1990 technology and i'm wondering what kind of tricky areas/troubles am i looking at, can the engine be taken out from the top or from under the car. It should be able to come out either way. The engine and transmission is mounted to the "engine cradle" and can come out as a single unit, That is the way it goes in at the factory.
